This registration is completed by filling in necessary information in relation to your company. It is a registration governed by the British Government, but is connected to the US Government, particularly for the purpose of integrity and security between both countries.
On completion of the online application for the registration, within 10 days your company will be notified of your D.U.N.S registration number.
NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) Codes are CAGE Codes for entities located outside the United States and its territories. Assignment of NCAGE Codes is part of the NATO Codification System (NCS) and is required for all foreign entities before completing a SAM registration.
The System for Award Management (SAM) is a Federal Government owned and operated free web site that consolidates the capabilities in Central Contractor Registration (CCR)/FedReg, Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) and the Excluded Parties List System (EPLS).
To apply for a SAM registration, you will need to have completed the D.U.N.S and NCAGE. Without these registrations you cannot apply for one.
The complete registration for the SAM will take approximately 2 weeks, and on completion of the application, you will then need to wait approximately 5 days for your registration number/ certification, but this will depend upon the size and complexity of your company, before the completed process of registering is completed.
There is a lot of information required for this application, so please be prepared to provide it. Not at any point can CABBS be held responsible for delayed and inaccurate information being provided by your company. You must ensure the information requested is 100% accurate.
The Joint Contingency Contracting System (JCCS) is a web based Information Technology (IT) system used by contingency programs that rapidly deploy for humanitarian, peacetime, and wartime missions. It is also associated to the integrity of a company, providing services to the US Government. Without this certification/ Registration, you will be limited to what Solicitations you can bid for/ compete in.
The complete registration for the JCCS is similar to SAM, but more detailed. It will take approximately 10 days to complete, and on completion of the application, you will then need to wait approximately a further 7 days, but this will depend upon the size and complexity of your company, before the completed process of registering is completed.
The UEI is a new requirement, that has been integrated into the SAM procedures, when bidding for US Government contracting business. The Unique Entity Identifier, or the UEI, is the official name of the “new, non-proprietary identifier” that will replace the D-U-N-S number, according to the General Services Administration (GSA). The UEI will be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). The UEI will be used by Federal Grant applicants? Applicants can expect to use the UEI in the same way that they currently use their D-U-N-S number.
Similar to the UEI, the PIEE is another newly required registration, which very intense in its information (registration) requirements. The PIEE is the enterprise application the Department of Defense (DoD) uses to manage transactions from procurement to payment. Many modules exist under PIEE, including the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS).
REGISTRATION DURATION PERIOD
The days of completing a registration package within 10 days has now gone. With more information required, and registration background checks being more thorough by the US Government agencies, the complete process to fulfil all the requirements of the 6 main registrations, will take a minimum period of approximately 30 days.
REGISTRATION UPDATES
Registering is not the be all and end all of it. Once registered, you must then maintain them throughout the year, and mandatory update them at the 12-month point, otherwise they will expire and will be required to be done again.
CABBS provides a service whereby we will maintain your registrations all year round, ensuring they will not expire, this avoiding major problems in the future, especially when an FRP is released, and you only have a short response time to apply for it. Sadly, if you’re not ready and prepared, you will not be able to participate, which will cause disappointment within the company.
